Crown Resorts Macau spin-off prepares for onslaught of new casino competition

The Macau-based casino operator that will form the centrepiece of Crown Resorts' proposed international spin-off is worried about an onslaught of new competitors, its chief executive has admitted.
Lawrence Ho, who controls the James Packer-backed Melco Crown Entertainment, also quashed speculation it will buy out its two hedge fund partners from the $4 billion Studio City casino in Macau.
