Coonan rejects Burswood company had no real power over Perth casino
Crown Resorts executive chairman Helen Coonan has contradicted key evidence from prominent businessman John Poynton about the role and responsibilities of a subsidiary company linked to Perth Casino.
Ms Coonan rejected evidence from Mr Poynton suggesting Burswood Limited, an intermediary company ostensibly charged with running the Perth Casino under West Australian legislation, had no real power and no direct responsibility for oversight of suspected money laundering and other illegal activity at Crown Perth.
