Casino regulator sold boat to Crown Resort manager fishing mate
A high-ranking West Australian bureaucrat sold a boat to a senior Crown Resorts employee and they went fishing together up to three times a week, but he did not regard the interaction as a breach of code of conduct rules related to his multiple roles as a casino regulator.
Former chief casino officer Michael Connolly appeared before the WA royal commission on Wednesday and defended his close friendship with three casino staff, including two directly involved in legal and compliance.
