Westpac wins endless gag order on executive court dispute

Westpac has settled a secret legal matter brought against it and its senior executives by one of their former colleagues in a bid to prevent embarrassing details about the dispute being made public.

Federal Court judge Elizabeth Raper agreed to permanently suppress the documents filed by Westpac’s former institutional strategy boss Julia Patterson – and put on a public register – after the bank settled the matter.
