UBS has rewarded its local division for rebuilding its franchise after key dealmakers jumped ship and for bedding down a merger with Credit Suisse, with five staff appointed to the coveted global managing director position.
The path to managing director, at the top of the corporate hierarchy, is difficult. The final process can take six months, and requires an employee to be nominated, give presentations and be interviewed multiple times.
