Super funds backflip on Westpac board cleanout

The powerful body advising industry super funds has backflipped on its push to see more heads roll on the Westpac board, confirming it will back the re-election of director Peter Marriott at the shareholder meeting next month.

ACSI CEO Louise Davidson said: "Our view is now that the board needs some really clear air to focus on the issues that have been identified in the AUSTRAC statement of claim." Wayne Taylor
