Macquarie splashes $816m on giant South Korean data centre

Macquarie will pay more than $US530 million ($816 million) to buy a massive South Korean data centre even as the asset manager prepares to offload its stake in local giant AirTrunk in a deal worth $15 billion.
Macquarie’s Korea Infrastructure Fund led the investment, which could increase to north of $1 billion when accounting for extra electrical and mechanical works at the Hanam facility.
