Home-loan borrowers are avoiding going into meltdown despite pessimism surrounding interest rate rises and inflationary pressures, says major customer-owned lender Great Southern Bank.

Those borrowers are flooding the bank’s call centre whenever the Reserve Bank of Australia lifts official cash rates, Great Southern chief executive Paul Lewis said.
