Directors call for US-style proxy adviser restraints

Australia’s directors lobby group is pushing for consideration of US-style changes to how proxy recommendations are prepared, including allowing a company to review advice before being sent to shareholders.
The proposal was criticised by one local proxy advisory service, which said there was no logical reason for such a change.
