Coalition channels Trump and says it will be a ‘friend’ of crypto

The Coalition says cryptocurrency investors and developers will find a friend in a Dutton government, which it claims will prioritise legislation to protect buyers of bitcoin and other types of digital assets.

Luke Howarth, the Coalition’s financial services spokesman, told an event on Wednesday evening that supporting the crypto industry and the use of blockchain technology was a “longstanding priority for the Coalition, and it will continue to be a priority under a Dutton government”.
