Aussie franchisees to lob complaint with ACCC, amid bullying claims

A group of Aussie Home Loans franchisees is preparing to lodge a damaging complaint with the competition regulator against its Commonwealth Bank-backed parent entity Lendi Group, inflaming tensions between the two sides.

Aussie Home Loans is one of the nation’s largest networks of mortgage brokers, and sits within Lendi Group, after a merger of the companies in 2021. The deal saw CBA emerge with a 42 per cent stake, while ANZ’s external venture capital unit, 1835i, and Macquarie Bank also own small stakes in the combined entity.
