Exchange-traded funds have typically delivered investors access to the performance of an underlying index such as the ASX 200. In the past this has made it tough for those who wished to achieve a responsible investment tilt to their portfolio using ETFs. Now, new exchange-traded funds are emerging that allow investors to express their ethical investment views.
"The challenge for many investors has been combining environmental, social and governance leaders, while excluding fossil fuels and companies involved in anti-social or irresponsible activities to one portfolio," says Arian Neiron, managing director and head of VanEck Asia Pacific.
