Development of potentially one of the most productive wind farm zones in the country is at risk of being held up by worker shortages and the challenge of luring talent to Western Australia from the eastern states.
Global wind power giant Vestas wants to build a 70-turbine facility in Western Australia’s southwest that the company estimates could produce about 500 megawatts of electricity by the early 2030s, if it can be completed by then.
