Palaszczuk uses subsidies to reach 50 per cent renewables target
The Palaszczuk government will struggle to reach its ambitious 50 per cent renewable energy target by 2030, despite spending millions of dollars to prop up clean energy projects across Queensland.
The move to help underwrite solar and wind projects, either directly or by building electricity infrastructure to their remote locations, could also cannibalise the profitability of the government's own coal-fired power stations.
