Offshore wind developers have held talks about combining forces in a bid to bolster their chances of securing a licence to develop in Victoria, as the deadline for applications in the ultra-competitive market looms.
The Victorian state government last year set a target of generating the equivalent of about 20 per cent of its energy needs from offshore wind within a decade, a plan that has drawn some of the world’s largest renewable energy players.
