The Ampol name not seen at Australian petrol pumps for 25 years is back on the forecourt, with the opening of the first two stores in Sydney's west re-branded from Caltex.

The stores in Concord and Granville are the first of more than 1900 sites to be relaunched over the next two years with the new incarnation of the brand that was originally named the Australian Motorists Petrol Company.
