Vision Group said the fragmented nature of the ophthalmic market, high cost barriers to entry and the strength of its doctor partnership model would help it grow organically and through acquisitions this financial year. The company increased after-tax profit by 19 per cent to $12 million in 2005-06, despite a downturn in consumer sentiment eroding its refractive surgery revenue. Henry Byrne
