Troubled livestock exporter Wellard has agreed to sell its biggest ship to a one-time bitter rival for $US53 million ($77.1 million) after a long struggle to stay afloat.
The sale of the Ocean Shearer comes hot on the heels of prominent shareholder Paul Holmes à Court purchasing a smaller vessel from Wellard and leasing it back to the company.
