Major water rights fund investors consider turfing management

Primrose Riordan

Prominent South Australian financier Ed Peter will step down as chairman of the $290 million water fund that he founded later this year after a review of management by KordaMentha and BDO.

Peter is the former head of Deutsche Asset Management in Asia and chairs Duxton Capital, an investment vehicle that oversees a portfolio ranging from pubs to farms and vineyards. Investors include the billionaire Oatley family, Phil King’s Regal Partners and wealthy environmentalist Robert Purves.
