Big business needs to help win the inflation fight if it is to stop a resurgent competition regulator in its tracks.

It is no good complaining that Gina Cass-Gottlieb’s Australian Competition and Consumer Commission is “getting in the way” – which we hear big business and their advisers say all the time. Cass-Gottlieb, nearly halfway through her appointment, isn’t going to stop; if anything, the politicians and the broader public want her to go harder.
