Tesla chairman reveals what she learnt from failure
Robyn Denholm, who began her working life pumping petrol at her parents’ service station in Sydney, shares the lessons learnt along the road to becoming chairman of electric vehicle maker Tesla.
When Robyn Denholm dumped a high-paying job at Telstra to be the chairman of Tesla in 2018, her friends said: “What on earth are you thinking?”
They said: “You’re giving up arguably the No. 2 role at an ASX 20 company to join a controversial company, with a contrarian founder and that at the time was not profitable.”
