Telstra and Microsoft make a formidable team
The term “strategic partnership” is so overused investors tend to switch off. But that would be a mistake when it comes to this deal.
There are few companies that could do a cloud computing deal with Microsoft like the latest one done by Telstra.
Normally, companies sign up for Microsoft’s cloud service, called Azure, and then trumpet it as both mutually beneficial and transformational. The default position is to label all these deals as strategic partnerships.
