Life in an Australian oligopoly isn’t complete without the odd stoush with competitors and the competition regulator. It’s the telcos turn.
It’s the big three telcos, their lawyers and barristers at 10 paces this week in a battle that could go a long way to deciding the next decade’s winners and losers.
The battleground is Australian mobile market share, dominated by 100-pound gorilla Telstra, and whether it would be more or less competitive under three long-term agreements for Telstra and TPG Telecom to share network infrastructure in regional Australia.
