More chaos, no bottom: How the next nine months of Trump could go

Houston fund manager Chris Wallis loves chaos and sees plenty more to play out over the rest of the year. Here’s where he’s looking for opportunities.

Chris Wallis loves chaos. And the Houston-based chief investment officer of the $US18 billion ($29 billion) fund manager Vaughan Nelson is in his element amid US President Donald Trump’s trade war.

“There’s no telling what the headlines could be in a month. It could be everything from ‘Trump found dead in his bathtub from a heart attack’ to ‘I can’t believe the Chinese caved that fast’,” Wallis says with a grin.
