Will the AI bubble collide with something nasty? Ray Dalio thinks so

A hero of “The Big Short” has doubts about artificial intelligence, and Ray Dalio is worried the Fed might make it worse. Investors need nerves of steel.

Marko Papic, chief geopolitical strategist at BCA Research, can’t tell you when the artificial intelligence bubble will pop. But humans, he says, can’t help themselves; we always get too excited, and every capex boom ends badly.

“That’s my guarantee to your readers. I guarantee there will be blood and tears, and it will be terrible. People will lose trillions of dollars. But nobody can time it,” he says.
