ACCC’s case against Microsoft goes to heart of the AI bubble
Rusting on consumers to monetise investments is where the artificial intelligence hype becomes real. It’s not hard to see the ramifications of this case going global.
Whether the artificial intelligence boom will turn out to be a bubble rests on a relatively simple question: will the tech giants investing hundreds of billions of dollars in AI infrastructure be able to monetise the technology and earn a decent return?
For the believers, there’s no better example of what’s possible than Microsoft.
