Investment conferences are all about who’s on stage. But what if you looked the other way and considered who’s in the crowd?

Investment conferences are safe spaces for fund managers. They sit in rows, soak up company presentations, judge CEOs, ask questions anonymously via an app, get fed, drink free coffee and face absolutely no scrutiny from anyone.
