Three teens arrested after crime spree across Adelaide, including two luxury cars stolen at Leabrook

Three teen boys – one aged just 13 – will face court over a series of car thefts across Adelaide, including a Mercedes and a Porsche stolen from the eastern suburbs.

Three teen boys aged 13 to 15, will face court over a spate of car thefts across Adelaide, including two luxury cars stolen from Leabrook.

Police said two cars – a 2021 grey Mitsubishi Eclipse with registration GJ03 and a 2016 white Volkswagen Jetta with registration S802BPB – were stolen from a Lightsview home, sometime between 12.20am to 3am on Friday.

On the same day, a 2022 grey Kia Cerato with registration S452CSD, was stolen from a Pooraka home, around 7.30pm.

A 2021 silver Land Rover Discovery with registration S070CLX, was also stolen from a St Georges home after a break-in, around 3am on Saturday, March 16.

On Tuesday at 4.40am, a Mercedes and a Porsche were stolen from the Godfrey St home, while the occupants were in the home.

The residents were not confronted and police were able to find the two stolen cars after they were abandoned on Gay Ave at Gilles Plains at about 9.40am.

The Mitsubishi Eclipse, Volkswagen Jetta, Kia Cerato and Land Rover Discovery, have not been located.

Following an investigation into the crime series, a 15-year-old boy from Holden Hill, a 16-year-old boy from Flinders Park and a 13-year old boy from Davoren Park were charged.

Police said they were all charged with illegal use of a motor vehicle, however the two older boys were further charged with attempted aggravated serious criminal trespass.

They are expected to appear in the Adelaide Youth Court on Wednesday.

Police are asking for the public’s assistance to locate the four other stolen vehicles

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of the car is being urged to contact the Police Assistance Line on 131 444.

It comes after police launched an investigation into the theft of two classic cars stolen from a locked shed in Murray Bridge on the weekend.

The owner of classic cars stolen from a locked shed said the theft was organised and co-ordinated by someone who knew what they were looking for.

Between Saturday, March 16 and Sunday, March 17, the vehicles – a blue 1978 Ford XC Falcon and a 2009 black Holden Commodore ute.
