A teenager has been arrested after a group of armed males broke into a Gulfview Heights home in the early morning and stabbed two people.
Emergency services were called to Nelson Rd after being alerted to the incident at 3.45am.
It is understood the group of offenders forced entry into the home and stabbed two occupants – after which they escaped arrest by jumping into a vehicle and turning onto Yulinda Terrace.
A 53-year-old woman and a 17-year-old boy were both taken to hospital with non-life threatening stab wounds. A third person was also taken to hospital with minor injuries after being assaulted.
Later that day, a 16-year-old Pennington boy was arrested and charged with causing serious harm and aggravated serious criminal trespass.
He was refused police bail and will appear in the Adelaide Youth Court on Thursday.
Police say it is early in the investigation but they do not believe this to be a random incident.
CCTV footage shows a car pulling up on Yulinda Terrace with five people inside.
Four of them exit the vehicle and run to the back gate, then jump into the yard and run up the stairs to the darkened house.
Minutes later, there are flashes of light before three people are seen running back across the street to the waiting car.
But they turn back and run towards the back gate again, and seconds later, four people run from the house.
They pile into the car, described as a dark-coloured Toyota Camry-type vehicle, which then drives off along Yulinda Terrace.
The Advertiser understands a woman and two teenagers live at the two-storey home but there are often groups of people in their late teens gathering at the property.
The six bedroom, three bathroom home is on the corner and was recently sold, however it is understood the current occupants of the home are tenants.
Later on Wednesday, two cars were seen arriving at the property, with one woman telling waiting media she was there only for support.
Another car arrived shortly after, from which a teenage boy was seen limping.
He told The Advertiser he could not help, and apologised.
