Emergency services rush to serious crash in Adelaide’s north after reports truck and car collided
A man was seriously injured after his ute collided with a truck in an Adelaide industrial area, with the impact so intense it sent parts of the wreckage flying into a nearby field.

A 35-year-old man has been seriously injured after his ute smashed into a truck in Adelaide’s north, the impact tearing the vehicle apart and scattering debris across a rural roadside.
Emergency crews rushed to Heaslip Rd at Direk around 10.15am on Thursday following reports that a man may have been trapped inside a blue Nissan ute after colliding with a truck.
The 35-year-old Kilburn man behind the wheel was rushed to hospital with serious but non life-threatening injuries.
While, the truck driver escaped unhurt.
At the crash scene, the ute’s front end was visibly crushed, its door ripped clean off and flung metres from the road and into a nearby field.
A bloodied shirt was seen lying in the grass, as trails of firewood and clothing from the ute were left littered across the ground.
The crash happened near the corner of Heaslip Rd and Purling Avenue — just metres from an industrial site and opposite open farmland.
The road was shut in both directions for about an hour but has since reopened.
It was the second serious crash in the area within an hour, following an earlier collision at Munno Para Downs that saw MedSTAR fly in.
Police are investigating and have urged anyone with dashcam footage or information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
