A man accused of stalking multiple women is also facing a series of other disturbing charges and allegedly kept “surveillance notes” of women he met online.

An alleged serial stalker tried to break into the home of one woman, indecently assaulted a second and showed “indecent material” to a third “to offend or insult” her, court documents assert.

In documents filed with the Adelaide Magistrates Court, SA Police further allege Sean Ian Flintoff kept detailed “surveillance notes” of women he met online, and also stole their mail.

Flintoff, 35, of Andrews Farm, first faced court in August after being arrested two times in the same week for allegedly stalking two women – the second in breach of his bail.

At the time, police alleged he met the women on a dating app and that, during a search of his house, items including mail in different women’s names were recovered.

Flintoff was again released on bail following his second arrest.

On Thursday, he was arrested for a third time – in their court documents, SA Police charge Flintoff with a further 16 counts of stalking.

They allege those offences took place in various locations around Adelaide between January 2013 and August this year.

Police further accuse Flintoff of attempting to trespass in one of those women’s homes, in a suburb north of Adelaide, in June 2017.

Flintoff, the papers allege, indecently assaulted a different woman – who is also the subject of a separate stalking count – in the northern suburbs in January 2020.

In April 2021, they allege, he “exhibited indecent material” to a woman “so as to offend or insult that person”.

Police further allege he was in possession of mail stolen from his victims and “handwritten surveillance notes” that he intended to use “for a criminal purpose”.

On Friday, Justin Wickens, for Flintoff, asked that the new allegations against his client be transferred to the Elizabeth Magistrates Court.

“Your Honour may or may not be aware there are charges pending (in that jurisdiction) for similar alleged offending,” he told Magistrate Simon Smart.

“There are two sets, in fact, of similar-type alleged offending.

“This latest set of alleged offending is also said to have occurred in the northern suburbs, Andrews Farm and areas around there.”

He said the matters were best handled as a group in one jurisdiction.

“There will be no application for bail today,” he said.

Mr Smart remanded Flintoff – who appeared by video link – in custody to face the Elizabeth Magistrates Court in two weeks’ time.
