Motorists have been urged to avoid a main road in Eden Hills after a morning crash caused delays.

South Australian police are warning those intending to travel on Shepherds Hill Rd that a two-car crash has caused traffic to be banked up in both directions.

Emergency services were called to the scene around 10.30am on Wednesday, and there are no reports of injuries.

Meanwhile, traffic is slowly returning to normal after a truck ploughed into a wall at the bottom of the South Eastern Freeway, leaving the driver badly injured and causing chaos early this morning.

It comes as police are investigating after a black BMW sedan lost control, veered off Grange Rd at Beverley and smashed into a building on the other side of the road before two men fled the scene.

About 4.20am on Tuesday, police and emergency services were called to Grange Rd after the BMW that had been travelling east somehow hit a building on the north side of the road.

Witnesses reported seeing two men get out of the car and run away with the duo last seen heading north on Main Rd, Beverley.

Police were unable to locate the two suspects and checks revealed the car was bearing false number plates.

SES assisted in the clean up while the car was towed from the scene.

Police are urging anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers at www.crimestopperssa.com.au or 1800 333 000 you can remain anonymous.
