A man believed to be a bikie member has been charged with blackmail over an alleged violent assault at a northwestern suburbs home.

Police say three men went to a Glanville address between March 21 and April 1, and demanded money from the occupant, assaulting him and causing minor injuries.

Following an investigation, officers from Crime Gang Task Force arrested a 40-year-old Davoren Park man.

Police believe the man is a member of the Finks outlaw motorcycle gang.

He was charged with blackmail and was expected to face the Adelaide Magistrates Court on Friday afternoon.

The other two suspects – who police are still searching for – are described as being of caucasian appearance, aged in their mid 30s and of “skinny” build.
