The Advertiser/7NEWS Adelaide, Monday, December 12, 2022

The brother of Edwardstown shooting victim Glenn Holton has posted an emotional tribute to his older sibling.

In a post shared to Facebook on Monday evening, Robert Wilde said he is “lost” and remembered Mr Holton as “very sensitive” with a “caring heart”.

“The man that made us brothers such a strong bond … the man that deep down past all the s**t had a very sensitive and caring heart … I am really lost I did not believe it would ever end like this,” he said.

He went on to say the pair weren’t on good terms, but promised to look after Mr Holton’s son, Seth.

Mr Wilde also referenced another family tragedy in the post – the loss of brother Daniel Wilde, who passed away in 2009, aged just 22.

Mr Wilde said “all I can really hope for is that Daniel finally has one of his brothers with him”.

“I love you big brother and I’ll see you when I see you.”

“R.I.P, we ran an absolute muck growing up, best memories chilling with you, we spent a week at the farm … still got to be the best week of my life,” he said.

Sharni Grace said she was “devastated” Mr Holton had been taken away from loved ones, alongside a picture of Mr Holton and one of her daughters.

“Thank you for being a good, caring friend to me,” she said.

Mr Holton, 41, was shot and left to die on Dunorlan Rd, at Edwardstown on Sunday night.

On Monday, authorities descended on a property at Park Holme and arrested a 44-year-old man from Ascot Park linked to the incident.

Police believe the man is known to the victim.

He is expected to be charged with murder later this morning and will likely be refused bail to appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court today.
