Warm weather officially arrived in Adelaide this week, and Sunday is set to be the sunniest day of all.
For those running the Lumar City-Bay fun run, expect the crisp early morning temperatures to rise from 11C to around 25C by noon, and heading to a top of 28C.
A gentle tailwind from the northeast is also expected as 16,000 runners make their way from Hindmarsh Square to Glenelg.
The UV level is expected to be high tomorrow, and runners and supporters are urged to remember to be sun smart.

Senior meteorologist Simon Timcke said it was important to remember sun protection when outside.
“It’s worth remembering to put some sunscreen on, wear a hat, sunglasses … it’s easy to get caught out this time of year,” Mr Timcke said.
And Sunday and Monday is expected to be some of the hottest days we have had on record for September according to experts, with forecasts predicting almost 18C higher than the average.
Mr Timcke predicts that the heat will be felt most in the state’s north.
“I think we’ll see some places in the north of the state getting as high as 37 to 38 degrees. I couldn’t pick one particular place but I think it will be quite a hot day in the north of the state,” Mr Timcke said.
Next week will cool back down as a cold front moves in with light rain, with Tuesday and Wednesday down to tops of 18C.
“Wednesday is the day that we’ll see the most showers but certainly not a wet day by any stretch,” Mr Timcke said.
“We will see some showers about the agricultural area on Wednesday, a shower or two in Adelaide.
“But they’ll ease back fairly quickly late afternoon and evening and not too many left for Thursday.”
Thursday is set to top 18C, with Friday and Saturday expecting to be back into the 20s.
Spring has started unseasonably warm, with almost summery temperatures arriving earlier this week.
