A MAN has been rushed to hospital after suffering a wound “consistent with being caused by an edged weapon” — believed to be a serious knife wound — at a Top End caravan park.

NT Police Northern Watch Commander Len Turner said the man, 40, had been taken to Royal Darwin Hospital with serious injuries to his wrist.

“About 2.30am police were called to an address at the Coolalinga Caravan Park,” he said.

“There they found a male with a large wound to his right hand, consistent with being caused by an edged weapon.

“A 41-year-old female has been taken into custody and the matter is being treated as a domestic violence incident.
