THE owners of Mitchell Street’s Outback Steaks & Curry restaurant say they are doing it tough after being broken into twice in a matter of days.
The restaurant was allegedly broken into by two men, aged 39 and 46, at about 11pm on Monday, only days after they were broken into last Tuesday.
CCTV footage shows the alleged offenders used a parking signpost as a battering ram to smash through a glass door and pry open a security grill at the restaurant.

Co-owner Deepak Sharma said they took six bottles of wine and caused about $1000 worth of damage in the raid.
“We’ve just finished about $2500 worth of repairs from the last break-in,” he said.
“It’s really tough to keep having to wake up to this.
“Its frustrating because we’ve felt like we’ve taken every precaution with security but they’re still finding a way in.”
Mr Sharma said police later located the alleged offenders drinking on a nearby street.

Northern Watch Commander Len Turner said police are also reviewing CCTV for an unlawful entry at The Char on Monday night.
He said they are investigating whether the two incidents are linked.
