Solonge ‘Soli’ Ellen Goodes fails to show up for siege trial

A woman who claims SA’s court system is part of a “satanic slave system” has failed to appear for a trial over an alleged siege at her rural property – and has explained why.

Five months after saying she refused to accept the traditional rule of law, a woman set to face trial after a police siege has failed to show up to court.

Solonge “Soli” Ellen Goodes was arrested in September last year after police and STAR Group officers raided her Sandy Creek property, which was being used as a “sovereign citizen freedom farm”.

The ensuing months, as Ms Goodes was expected to face court, were plagued by her failing to show up and instead posting online clips asking the courts to “leave us in peace now and in perpetuity”.

Ms Goodes eventually showed up to an appearance at the Elizabeth Magistrates Court in June where she was committed to face trial at the start of November.

Immediately after learning the courts – and police – would not let her case rest, she told The Advertiser she was considering setting up her own “sovereign court” at which she would prosecute police and court administrators who were part of the “Luciferian fraud law satanic slave system”.

Speaking to The Advertiser after failing to show for her trial, Ms Goodes said she was “under no obligation” to turn up.

“They have no jurisdiction over me,” she said. “I’ll deal with whatever criminal threat or aggressors come my way if I’m forced to.

“If they leave me in peace, they’ll have no issues with me. I’m no threat to anyone who is no threat to me.”

Ms Goodes then said she actually thought her court date was November 4, instead of November 1.

A warrant has been issued for her arrest.

She also said she had told police during the standoff they were at risk of being shot.

Ms Goodes continues to face charges of hindering or resisting a police officer and assaulting a police officer, alleged to have taken place during the standoff.

She also faces a charge of speeding, failing to stop and failing to get out of her car, laid against her in January this year.

Ms Goodes has consistently been supported at court by a troupe of “sovereign citizens” appealing for her charges to be dropped.
