A 25-year-old driver from overseas is in critical condition after crashing into a bus full of schoolchildren in Barossa Valley
A driver has been airlifted to hospital in serious condition after colliding with a school bus full of children just after 4pm on Tuesday.

A driver is in critical condition after colliding head on with a school bus in the Barossa Valley on Tuesday.
The serious crash occurred at the intersection of Stockwell Rd and Penrice Rd at 3.45pm, with reports a Volkswagen hatchback had crashed into a bus carrying schoolchildren.
The driver of the Volkswagen, a 25-year-old man travelling from overseas was flown to hospital with serious injuries.
The driver of the bus a 64-year-old local man and the 15 passengers on board were not injured.
Local resident Gennaro Verde heard the crash and raced out to help.
“I heard the loud bang, the dog started carrying on, I raced out [...] to see the accident on the corner,“ he told 7News.
“[I went] to see if I could get over and see if I could help.
“I feel for the kids on the bus they must be pretty traumatised too.”
No injuries to passengers on the bus have been reported.
Major crash officers are currently on scene and have closed Stockwell Rd, advising the public to avoid the area if possible.
