While many hospitality operators are struggling, Adelaide cafe owner Elliott Brown is going from strength to strength.
Mr Brown, 23, and his business partner, Mitchell Ward, are set to open a new cafe in Aberfoyle Park later this year, Hey MooMoo’s.
The venue will be Mr Brown’s third, joining Hey Juj in McLaren Vale and Hey ZoZo’s, which he launched in Henley Beach in March.
The new eatery, which will serve up takeaway coffee, fresh pastries, fruit salads and cold pressed juices, will be located in The Park Shopping Centre.
“I am willing to give things a shot. The hospitality industry is going through one of its toughest times, however, in strong community areas everyone seems to support each other,” said Mr Brown.
“The feeling of opening a third venue is very exciting especially alongside Mitchell’s support and guidance.”
Hey Juj was named after Mr Brown’s grandmother and Hey ZoZo’s in honour of his cousin Zoe Buttery. The moniker for his latest cafe comes from Mr Ward, who Mr Brown describes as his best friend.
“Hey Juj and Hey Zozo’s are both looking forward to welcoming another sister to the family,” he said.
The menu at the Aberfoyle Park eatery will be perfect for on-the-go parents, students and local workers, and there are plans to grow and add a commercial kitchen in coming months.
“With Elliott’s success in the hospitality industry and his drive for creating amazing tasting coffee, an opportunity to work with him was not going to be turned down,” said Mr Ward.
“We believe that a coffee shop was needed in the centre so that’s what we have delivered.”
Hey MooMoo’s first day of trade will be August 16.
