‘Changed my life’: 14 SA creators who ditched their day jobs for OnlyFans and how much they earn

Multi-million dollar homes, banking $160k a month and the adrenaline rush – 14 South Aussies share their stories, the perks and the dark side of living a life on camera.

The SA women who quit 9-5 jobs for OnlyFans

When it comes to social phenomena, there’s perhaps no bigger than OnlyFans.

Let’s talk numbers. At last count, there were 2.1 million content creators on the adults-only platform, being watched by a whopping 210 million people worldwide.

Since launching in 2016, creators have been paid a neat $7.8 billion in subscription fees. The lion’s share of that figure has been since OnlyFans’ popularity skyrocketed during the pandemic.

But these South Australians confess the big pay packet has only been part of the allure to selling risque videos and photos online.

Here 14 of the state’s top OnlyFans creators share how they went from everyday people with everyday jobs to superstars on the subscribers-only site.

When Millyonaire joined OnlyFans the backlash from locals forced her to leave her small country South Australian town, now she makes an estimated $78k plus on the platform.

Before Covid hit, the 23-year-old, whose real name is Milly, travelled the world modelling and competing in beauty pageants.

The pandemic halted her travel plans so she turned to the X-rated platform as a way to continue pursuing her modelling career.

“I’m from a small country town in the mid-north of South Australia,” Milly said.

“When I made my OnlyFans, it kind of blew up too quickly and too big for me to be comfortable in my small town anymore.

“I got bullied a lot, I was working full-time in a pharmacy and in a hotel and as a bartender.

“People would come into my workplaces yelling at me and calling me names.”

Milly connected with other creators who invited her to Adelaide to collaborate and recently made headlines staring in a graphic Grange Mexican restaurant advertising campaign alongside partner Sanchez Rodreguez.

“I quit all my jobs up and moved to Adelaide to pursue it full time,” she said.

“Funny thing is now that most of the people who gave me a hard time have now changed their mind and will send me secret supportive messages.”

Sanchez Rodreguez is a completely different man to who he was two years ago.

He was smoking 100 cigarettes a day and was using drugs. He knew something had to change.

“I had been on a self-discovery mission. Two years ago I got clean of a bunch of bad habits that I used to have and turned to getting healthy and focused on my body,” he said.

“I set myself a goal that I wanted a stripper’s body by the end of the year.”

Sanchez quit smoking, quit drugs and ended his 10-year relationship. It changed his “entire life”.

He started to work as a topless waiter, before eventually setting up an OnlyFans account and working for Adelaide male stripper group, Alpha Men.

“I do the stripping as well because it’s another way to get a little bit of an adrenaline rush, get my clothes off and see 100 to 150 women screaming my name and cheering,” he said.

A newcomer to the adult app, starting this year after encouragement from his partner and co-star, Millyonaire, Sanchez hasn’t quit his day job.

While the 29 year old said he could give up his abseiling cleaning job he “likes to keep busy and entertained.”

Alex Paige Moore was a dental nurse and a call centre operator before a comment from a controversial comedian set her on a path to become one of SA’s top creators raking in $160,000 a month.

The now 26 year old had stopped working after the birth of daughter Alora in 2020 saying she found it difficult to manage two jobs as well as a child.

“I met Alex (“Shooter”) Williamson and he told me why don’t you do OnlyFans? That way you can have heaps of free time with your daughter, you don’t need to be worrying about going to work,” Alex said.

“We ended up dating and sort of blew up together, just both of us working and advertising it.”

Within a couple of months the new mum was earning more than hundred thousand dollars a month.

Alex went from earning minimum wage or living on Centrelink to buying her first home as her popularity soared.

“It was insane, I was going from working two jobs earning maybe $700 a week max to then earning $160,000 a month,” she said.

“It was a massive shock. I saved a lot, I did go on a couple of holidays and splurge a bit at first buying some designer things and a new car.

“I’d still be living with my parents right now if it wasn’t for OnlyFans.”

Jess Wheeler was struggling when she Googled ‘ways to make money at home’ and found OnlyFans.

“It’s so weird to say that such a site changed my life, but it really did,” she said.

At just 18 she was her younger brother’s full time carer while studying a Bachelor of Medical Radiation Science at University of South Australia with plans to become a sonographer.

“I was trying to raise an 11 year old at the age of 18, I was working at Fasta Pasta and trying to go to uni at the same time,” she said.

“When I started it, I planned on only doing it until I finished my medical degree … I never thought of it as a long term thing.

“But then when I started it, I became really successful with it within the first couple of months and it helped me a lot.”

Creating X-rated content allowed the now 23 year old to quit her fast food chain job and focus on raising her brother.

With an estimated 6500 subscribers and paycheck of around $70k, despite graduating with her degree in 2020 Jess said “hasn’t had to use it at all”.

“My coming into OnlyFans is definitely much different to the other girls and guys … but now that I’m into it, I love it,” she said.

“I haven’t applied for any sonographer jobs or anything like that because the money I’m making on OnlyFans would be way, way more than I would be making as a sonographer.”

Self-described hustler Montana Daniel is a tattoo artist by day and OnlyFans creator by night.

She has been a head chef, florist and waitress since starting work at 13 and now the businesswoman is building empires in the tattoo, cosmetic, bodybuilding and porn worlds.

After making an appearance on UK reality show Geordie Shore and growing an Instagram following, Montana hesitantly joined the X-rated site.

“I was a little bit worried because I was like, OnlyFans isn’t that greatly looked upon, especially when it first started,” she said.

“I’m sort of a hustler, and if that’s what you’ve got to do, then why not? So I tried, it and made $15,000 in my first week.”

During lockdown in 2020 the 25 year old made $110,000 in just three months creating spicy content.

But for Montana, who specialises in mandalas, realism and geometric tattoo designs, OnlyFans remains a side hustle.

“I wanted to be a businesswoman and have something that’s never going to go out of fashion,” she said.

“Running my own company was my dream, so I started The Devil Wears Ink.

“I work full-time and now OnlyFans has become a side thing.”

This plus size mum dreamt of becoming a model but feared she would never make it in the industry, now Red Ivy is known on OnlyFans for her bright red hair.

“I became a mother and I became more body positive, I loved my body and finally felt like ‘you know what, I’m just going to give it a go’,” she said.

“I spoke to my husband to see how he felt and he was like ‘sure, if you want to give it a go, maybe it will help with your body positivity’.

“I didn’t really know if I had anyone who would be interested in subscribing or if I would make much money on it, but I thought it would be a good way to gain more self love and confidence in my body.”

Since starting the venture in May 2020 she has left her nine-to-five and financially supports herself, her husband and her two children, one of whom is autistic.

“I was able to quit my job in retail and help support my family … I have been quite successful, especially being plus size in the industry, it’s a lot harder,” she said.

Within her first 24 hours on OnlyFans Amy Mae made $4000 and she quickly dropped out university to pursue it full time.

The 21 year old was living paycheck-to-paycheck working retail and studying a medical science degree when she decided to try and earn some extra cash on the side.

“I just moved out of home and was struggling with uni and working. I was like I’m just going to start it to make a couple extra hundred a week and within a month I made more than I made in a month at my normal job,” Amy said.

“I thought this is going to be way more than I thought it was going to be, a month in I quit my full-time job and have been doing OnlyFans full time for six months now.”

With more than an estimated 5000 subscribers, Amy is in the top 0.1 per cent of creators worldwide and said her goal is make into platform’s top 0.01 per cent.

When asked why she thinks she is popular online, she says it’s down to her youthful appearance and “big boobs”.

For Evie Leana – a single mum of four – OnlyFans success has brought her more time at home with her children.

The 37 year old has gone from working multiple jobs which she described as “a struggle” to creating content two days a week either in a hotel room or when she has the house to herself.

“I always had to have one or two jobs at a time to provide for them, have them in childcare, in school,” Evie said.

“The best thing about it for me was being able to be at home with them and to be more present with them.

“I’ve got a very good relationship with my kids so we can talk to each other about anything.”

It was daughter Tiahnee that inspired to join in 2021. After making $20,000 in just two months Evie now boasts an estimated 5600 subscribers.

“My daughter started when she was 18 and she gave me the idea, I saw she was having a lot of fun with it so I jumped about a year after she started,” she said.

“It’s been amazing, it’s my full-time job now. I quit managing a beauty salon after about a year and was able to focus on OnlyFans full-time.”

Adelaide’s only OnlyFans famous dominatrix Mistress Sasha Wetdreams has always been into kink and BDSM which stands for bondage, discipline, sadism and masochism.

She was already working as topless waitress when she was invited to a barbecue where she met local OnlyFans creators who encouraged her to take up the craft.

“The first six months were pretty slow, just learning, meeting people, networking, doing photo shoots and getting used to talking to the camera as if it were a person,” Mistress Sasha said.

The success led her to quit her job two years ago and now she is also pursuing some acting.

Catering to all sexual fantasies and fetishes from pet kinks to getting messy with food and water, Mistress Sasha said she wanted to create artistic and alternative content.

“There’s no other creators in Adelaide that have the content I do,” she said.

“I like to do the content I do because I truly believe in creating a safe, accepting, inclusive and encouraging environment for everybody.”

When Dakota Newman broke her arm she found herself out of work so she returned home to the Riverland where a comment from a friend led her to join OnlyFans.

“I was talking to the boys and one said ‘if I was a female I’d do it’, and it made me think it’s not actually as bad as everyone puts it out to be,” she said.

“I came back to Adelaide and started one up, and I’m actually the happiest and best I’ve ever been mentally.”

Ms Newman said not everyone was supportive of her career move and it had cost her some relationships but her dad had stuck by her.

“He’s like ‘you know what kid, if that makes you happy and mentally if it makes you feel better about yourself, I’m completely on board with it,’” she said.

The 26 year old did go back to work doing in-house care but with an estimated 1000 subscribers has recently been able to take her online gig full time.

“With OnlyFans, you only get out as much as you put in, so some weeks I could make a decent amount of money, other weeks I don’t because I don’t do anything,” she said.

As a teenager Sylvie Rose dreamt of being a pole dancer and now she created OnlyFans content wearing a chastity belt made of steel.

It was experiencing revenge porn (not at the hands of a boyfriend) and facing infertility in her early 20s that motivated her to join the X-rated platform.

After getting married at age 23 Sylvie and her husband struggled to have children.

“That really ruined me, that crushed my whole soul and after a really long process and being told you’ll probably never be able to have kids, I got pregnant,” the now 28 year old said.

After welcoming their baby Sylvie said her body changed and she suffered from post-partum depression so she began posting body-positive posts on Instagram, which eventually led to adult content.

Then she started modelling for a company named Fancy Steel which specialises in steel chastity belts.

“This is out of my comfort zone but I thought it would be awesome because personally I’m really into BDSM,” she said.

Sylvie, who works three days a week in a call centre, said being a victim of revenge porn and wanting to be a good example for her daughter also inspired her to join the industry.

She is also undertaking an interior design diploma and in the future wants to design sex rooms to help others with their sex lives.

She was just 21 when she started OnlyFans and now 24 year old Gabby Goessling is one of SA most popular creators with an estimated earnings of more than $128.5k

After growing up “poor” Gabby now owns two homes including her “dream house” which she said she “never would have been able to buy” without the platform in a TikTok video

“It’s crazy to think back on three years ago when I first joined, I was so terrified of what other people were going to think, and what people were going to say about me behind my back that I almost didn’t join,” she told her 89.3k TikTok followers.

“I’m just so glad that I did, at the end of the day people’s opinions on you, they’re just thoughts in their head that you don’t even hear, they’re just thoughts passing thoughts, they don’t affect your life at all.”

In another TikTok Gabby explained she had four other siblings and her father didn’t earn much money as a Lutheran pastor.

She said he was lucky to go to a Lutheran high school because someone left a cheque for the deposit in the mailbox but was always embarrassed when her parents were behind on school fees.

“I know that we really struggled but my parents did so well and we had a great childhood,” she said.

“I never had anyone over to my house when I was in high school … I just always felt so self conscious about being poor compared to everyone else.”

It was the realisation she could make money selling the nudes she was giving away for free that led Kiki Isobel to OnlyFans.

After a break-up in 2020, the former Subway worker joined Tinder looking to date new people when she hatched the business idea and made almost $800 in her first week.

“I guess I just realised why am I sending nudes out for free when people are making money off them,” she said.

“It was terrifying, I was trying to make sure my body looked perfect. I was like, what are people going to think? But also I loved the thrill of it.”

The 26 year old launched her profile in Adelaide before moving to Queensland to collaborate with fellow content curators full time until she recently left the platform in favour of more “fetish friendly” sites.

Aubrey Addison

Aubrey Addison purchased her first home – a multi-million dollar property – with OnlyFans money.

A hairdresser by trade, the 25 year old made it into the top 0.1 per cent of creators in her first six months on the adult platform.

“I’ve always been more adventurous that most people I know and (OnlyFans) is something I knew I would love doing,” she said.

“You need to be so strong and resilient in this industry because there are countless things working against you.

“The only place you can advertise yourself, social media, has no interest in you being there. People are constantly reporting you, getting your accounts banned.”

Two years later, Aubrey said her OnlyFans career had become a 24/7 job and had “changed her life”.

“I’ve been able to do so much for my family and set myself up for the future,” she said.
