Triple M’s Melbourne based Rush Hour with JB and Billy expands into SA, WA and Tasmania

Arvo commuters across South Australia will be tuning in to a new program as the extent of Triple M’s shake-up is revealed.
The Rush Hour with James Brayshaw and Billy Brownless is one of the biggest winners in the station’s programming overhaul, extending its reach across huge parts of Australia.
From January next year, the popular drive show will be heard from 4-6pm each weekday in Adelaide and regional SA, as well as Melbourne, Hobart and Perth.
A couple of local shows were axed to make way for Brayshaw and Brownless’ extended broadcasting area.
It had already been announced that Triple M Adelaide’s The Rush Hour with Bernie Vince, Greg Blewett, Andrew Jarman would not be returning in 2025.
Marty Sheargold was the biggest winner in the shake up whose show is already heard nationally from 3-4pm and which will continue into next year – but with an extra two hours of Sheargold in NSW and Queensland every day.
The Rush Hour with JB and Billy hasn’t secured quite that many hours of radio but it is a substantial increase in the program’s exposure.
The duo’s YouTube channel describes the program as where “sport meets stupid” and online viewership of its segments ranging from modest 1100 watches to 25,000.
The show ranks in the Top 50 of Australian-made podcasts and draws in an average of 120,000 unique monthly listeners.
In a statement to news.com.au, Brayshaw and Brownless said, “We’re excited that our live show will now be extended for our listeners in South and Western Australia, which are legendary footy states with an incredible history of successes, as Bill knows because he attends all their premiership reunions.”
They added, “we also want to acknowledge the Adelaide and Perth Rush Hour teams, many of whom are great mates, and congratulate them on their shows.
“We don’t underestimate the opportunity we have been given and we are focused on creating a show that honours them and their listeners.”
