Sydney social media star Jade Tuncdoruk back spruiking brands despite Cadbury dumping

One of Sydney’s most high profile influencers is back with a vengeance after being sensationally dumped by a major Australian chocolate brand.

Weeks after being dumped by a major chocolate brand, it seems some luxury labels aren’t bothered by disgraced bikini influencer Jade Tuncdoruk’s series of social media scandals.

Tuncdoruk faced fierce backlash after being called out for a number of questionable posts on Instagram and subsequently kept a low profile.

She is however back with a vengeance, sharing numerous ads for designer labels including Gucci and Tods in the last 24 hours alone.

During that time, she has also promoted the likes of Zulu and Zephyr jeans – she’s a size 28 if you’re interested – YSL, Dyptique and Mecca Beauty while declaring the products she’s received as gifts of an advertisement.

She also shared an Instagram story with the leanings of the past week, seemingly addressing recent scandals.

“It’s not my fault if people don’t like me and it’s not in my best interest to try to change their minds,” she said.

Sydney influencer agency MAXCONNECTERS at the time said it was reviewing its positionwith Tuncdoruk, who works full time as an influencer and can earn many thousands of dollars for a single post promoting everything clothes to cars, candles, holiday destinations and beauty products.

But today, she is front and centre on the agency website while representatives refuse to respond to questions about their review. The agency also looks after the likes of Natalie Roser, Sammy Robinson, Aisha Jade, Jordan Simek and Bella Varelis.

In March, Cadbury distanced itself from Tuncdoruk, issuing a statement stating her views “don’t reflect our values”.

It came after Tuncdoruk fled Sydney for Paris amid criticism over her comments about non-English speaking Uber Eats drivers.

In that post that resurfaced from 2017, Tuncdoruk branded foreign workers “annoying”.

Earlier this year, she was forced to apologise after pressuring small business Weekenda into refunding a $2000 after the postponement of her wedding to fellow influencer Lachie Brycki. The business called Tuncdoruk out for her entitled behaviour by trying to “bypass” the rules when she ignored the terms and conditions.

“Hello everyone. I just wanted to say that I’m sorry for the way I’ve conducted myself recently,” she wrote on Instagram.

“I’m aware that my actions were poorly thought out and lack integrity. I want everyone to know that I hold myself to a higher standard than this.”

Tuncdoruk’s public life has been marred by several other social media indiscretions.

In 2020, she conceded companies had cut ties with her as she would not reduce her fees to post about their products or services during the Covid pandemic.

A year earlier, in May 2019, Tuncdoruk’s eco credentials took a hit after she slammed companies for sending her free loot wrapped in plastic packaging only to hours later share a snap of herself sipping a cocktail through a plastic straw.

And in another post a year prior, Tuncdoruk faced backlash after warning followers not to moan about how much paid content she was uploading because Christmas was a busy time for influencers.

“It’s a very busy time of the year for our industry,” she said at the time. “I also want to remind you guys that it is my full time job, so if I wasn’t posting sponsored content I wouldn’t be able to post other content and then you guys wouldn’t see much of me at all.”
