A xenophobic complaint Jade Tunchy posted to Uber Eats could spell the end of her lavish lifestyle, with publicists saying it’s ‘one too many faux pas’ from the influencer.

Influencer Jade Tuncdoruk slammed for ‘demanding’ honeymoon refund

Controversial Instagrammer Jade Tuncdoruk (a.k.a. Jade Tunchy) has been called out on social media for a xenophobic complaint she made to Uber Eats in 2017, prompting publicists to pull her from their upcoming invite lists.

The Uber Eats complaint surfaced on Friday, with the polarising social media user, who has almost half a million followers, telling the food delivery service in 2017 she found it “annoying” that they used “too many non English speaking delivery” people who “can’t follow basic instruction”.

“I got a notification today saying my food was arriving and it took the person a further 20 minutes to get to my door because he hadn’t read my delivery instructions … and when I called him to explain he didn’t understand a word I was saying … when foreigners are delivering it takes twice as long for me to receive my then cold food. Sort it out,” the post to Uber Eats read.

After the post was made public, Tunchy took to social media to apologise to “anyone I have hurt”.

“I have grown immensely in the past several years. I’ve let people down and for that I’m truly sorry,” she wrote.

The scathing post has prompted some to distance themselves from Tunchy, with a high-profile publicist on Friday saying she had been pulled from invite lists and brands were refraining from being associated with her.

“This could very well get her cancelled,” one publicist said.

“There has been one too many faux pas now.”

It’s not the first time Tunchy has been slammed on social media. Earlier this week she “demanded” a small business give her a refund on a deposit for her honeymoon stay.

She used Instagram to reveal she put down a $2000 deposit with premium holiday rental company Weekenda last year. However, in August she cancelled her Hunter Valley honeymoon with fiance Lachie Brycki, after postponing her wedding due to Covid.

In the now-deleted post, Jade told followers the couple requested a refund, “but they said the best they could do was put it back up online to be booked by someone else”.

She then included a link to the small business’s Instagram page, prompting some of her followers to lash out at the company.

Her final post revealed the company had agreed to refund her deposit.
