One of Nine Adelaide’s newsroom bosses has mysteriously quit the station after four years.
It’s understood executive producer Fiona Clark resigned about a fortnight ago in what has been described by industry sources as a “surprise” move.
It’s believed she had been away from the newsroom for a couple of months prior to her official departure.
A Channel 9 spokesman confirmed on Friday that Ms Clark had “decided to resign”.
“Nine would like to acknowledge the work Fiona has done for Nine News Adelaide over the past four years, and thank her for her efforts,” he said.
Highly regarded within the industry, she previously held senior roles at Channel 10 including executive editor, executive producer and chief of staff during her 15 years at the network.
The Advertiser has contacted Ms Clark for comment.
