Have you ever been on a really awkward first date? Like you want to jump out the bathroom window kind of first date?

That’s how you feel during Patrick Golamco’s performance.

Golamco describes himself as an introvert and he lives up to the title. His doubt and lack of confidence overpowers his stage presence, resulting in jokes which come off as cringey and frankly uncomfortable.

As the show ticks on you find yourself hoping he lands one joke, to cut through the awkward tension which has built up among the crowd.

The highlight of the performance doesn’t lie with Golamco’s humour, but instead with his musical ability.

The comic jumps onto his keyboard early into the show, and while the lyrical jokes may fall flat, he is a gifted musician.
