Men Who Dance began its life as a filler, but the eagle-eyed Malcolm Harslett saw the potential for a show. And quite a show it is.

Showcasing the talents of five locals – Charles Herkes, Kurt Benton, Ricky-Jai Revilla, Willan Rodrigues and Dhuruva Padmanabhan – it’s a solid hour of very well-judged moves that run the gamut of dance styles from classical (Khachaturian’s Spartacus) and modern through hip-hop and freestyle, and even a dash of Bollywood.

The show is commendable for being entirely self-choreographed by the cast – though Harslett’s experienced direction was much in evidence.

The lads are as prodigiously fit as they are handsome, and seemed unfazed by the phalanx of desirous maidens storming the stage for selfies at show’s end.

A short Fringe run was so successful that further shows have been added.
