Lehmo’s greatest asset is a superb comedian’s voice. It is a winning Australian’s voice of the sort that attracts a crowd over a beer or at a party, quite natural and comfortably accented, and fits neatly with his current appearance, his sparkling little eyes and droopy moustache.
When he asks questions of the audience there is a kind of seductive come-along that creates some extraordinary exchanges rewarded with his quick as a flash replies.
We shouldn’t go into his hilarious and revealing exploration of the audience’s d…pic experiences, but he has a rich repertoire. While his subtitle to the show is Be Nice, he has his limits, joining the stand-ups’ anti-anti-vax brigade of 2022. “If you don’t like wearing masks you are going to hate a ventilator,” sets the tone nicely.
Like many longer serving comics, his family and kids have become a rich source of humour of late and those laid-back, entertaining narratives are lapped up with glee.
