Hot Mess: That Wasn’t Part Of The Plan

Comedy

Rating: ***

Iris Cinema at Mercury West Village

Until March 6

Nona Mona can’t seem to catch a break. Divorced and cyclically unemployed, Mona takes the audience on a journey through her past to uncover how it all went wrong.

Former Miss Burlesque South Australia, Mona combines her stellar burlesque skills with her newly acquired stand-up comedy in her show, but falls slightly short on the jokes.

Mona commands the stage during her burlesque moments, proving exactly why she deserves the crown that sits on her head through the first scenes of the performance.

However, she could benefit from a confidence boost when she performs her stand-up monologues.
