Best friend comedy duo Annie Lumsden and Lena Moon suffer a millennial existential crisis in their new sketch show, Different Now.
It’s a tale of everlasting friendship, or “co-dependency” to be more aptly defined, and explores their memories.
The pair question all areas of their realities. Do they live separately? What do they have for dinner? Who is their preferred serial killer? Did my brain just malfunction?
Through feminist jokes, to stereotyping blondes, these women are recognisably relatable.
They are the female counterpart to Australian sensation Aunty Donna and perform comparably silly songs and sketch comedy skits.
However, the logistics of the tight venue worked against the performers, and at times could be overbearing for the audience.
This show is worth supporting: An incredible female act taking the comedy reins on stage.
